FVACC is a non-profit organization which was established in 1984 in Vancouver. The club's mission is "devoted to the identification, preservation, appreciation & collection of antiques, collectibles & local historical artifact".
The club has over 150+ members who collect all various types of vintage antiques, collectibles &early advertising: toys, radios, advertising tins and signs, oil & gas, fishing tackle, hunting & sports memorabilia, post cards, old photos, LP records, medalta, orange crush, coca-cola, Pepsi, moorcroft, movie posters, brewerania, fruit jars, soda pop/ginger beer bottles, drug stores, ephemera, old tools, books, Fire King Jadeite, Chinese Asian artifacts, tobacco, dolls, jewelry, pottery, comics, coins, stamps, Hudson Bay, Chinaware, sports, general store items, small vintage furniture, etc.
The club hosts an annual antique & collectible show and sale, holds regular monthly meetings, and circulates the bi-monthly Newsletter publication, "The Holedown." We participate at various local events with club displays e.g., local museums, libraries, community, media events, etc. Club meetings have presentations from guest speakers and local collectors, show & tell tables, sales tables (members can buy-sell-trade), prize raffles, & coffee/snacks. The club hosts an annual Christmas party in Dec. & a summer BBQ in June.
